What a day & what a cause! It was my honour + privilege to talk up the wonderful Milk Bank at the Mercy Hospital on the ABC News tonight as the Donor interviewee right alongside my beautiful friend Stephanie who was interviewed as the donee as her NICU superstar Abby received donated milk during their stay. The creator of the milk bank is none other than Ashton’s very own Neonatal Paediatrician Dr Gillian Opie who is still his main Dr today & whom we all adore. She is a powerhouse.

Over 1000 babies have received donated breast milk in the Mercy NICU since the bank opened 10 years ago today & it’s such a wonderful feeling to know that I helped some of those gorgeous bubs (as well as Ashton) to get their “liquid gold”. Even better news is that the Mercy Milk Bank is expanding and now has satellite sites all over Melbourne at other NICUs too...

Thank you for a lovely day out Mercy Health, Royal Melbourne Zoo and to the ABC News for a lovely interview experience. Had a blast! See video in full here: www.nicucheer.com.au/abc-news-february-2021
