Thank you all for the love for Ashton, Lillian and us. I’ve been slack on NICU cheer socials as we’ve been flat out & stressed out with kids medical stuff. We’ve now hit a new record with 4 months straight of emergency hospitals and ambulances.

First Ashton with severe seizures in Aug/Sept/Oct/Nov, and now Lillian’s emergency room visit too. She caught chickenpox which was fine until it turned serious & reached her eyes causing severe inflammation and vision loss. Despite the pain, hospital visits, many medications, tests, & even a cancelled birthday, Lillian has been so positive & happy, a true little rockstar.

So proud of our brave girl  And hopefully they finally have Ashton’s seizures under control with the right meds now & crossing it all for no more ED visits please!

UPDATE - Ashton also snuck in a November hospitalisation. Sadly/ironically we were on a respite weekend away at a farm set up for disability families to get over all of the other months of hospitals. Our last day was ruined though when he seized early that morning and was transported by lovely Via Ambo staff to Monash Children's Hospital.

It leaves me curious about what coping strategies others in similar…
